Lavandula x Chaytorae & other varieties

The cultivars in this section are hybrids between L. lanata (woolly lavender) and L. angustifolia. They have beautiful silvery foliage and many flowers. They make attractive ornamentals and, as an added bonus, begin flowering slightly later than L. angustifolia and L. x intermedia. They generally dislike wet conditions as the soft foliage tends to turn black. The two below have been selected for their ability to survive the humid climate of the upper North Island.
