As many regular visitors know there is always plenty to enjoy at Leafy Hollow. The wisteria has come and gone, the lilies are coming to an end, the roses are looking wonderful and the lavender is 'colouring up' nicely. Just don't expect to see rows and rows of pristine lavender all year round. We are far more than just a Lavender Garden!

First big coach group of the season - Hibiscus Coast 60's Up . A great bunch of people.

Growing Tip #1

If you haven't already done so it's time to prune your Lavandula dentata.
Yes I know it is full of flowers but after flowering all through the winter months it will be looking 'straggly' by now. Give it a really good haircut (leave some green so that it will grow back). Within 3 months it will be flowering again.

Growing Tip #2
To give young plants an extra growth boost - spread crushed shell under and around lavender plants. Sunlight is reflected up on to the plants and the calcium from the shell is absorbed into the soil. A win/ win situation!
