The Lavender Collection
For thousands of years lavender has been highly valued for its wonderful colour, aromatic perfume and reputed therapeutic qualities. It is one of the most versatile of herbs with foliage, stems, flowers and seeds being used for a range of purposes. Herbalists and pharmacists have been using lavender in remedies since ancient times. In her book 'Lavender' Tessa Evelegh said that during the First World War modern antiseptics were in such short supply that the public were asked to gather garden lavender so the oil could be used together with sphagnum moss to dress war wounds.
Essential Lavender oil is commonly used in aromatherapy and as an ingredient in cosmetic perfumery.
Around the home its uses are legend!
